Marketing-Mix Modelling
Definition
A statistical way of estimating how much each advertising channel contributes to sales, so that a business can predict future sales and decide where to advertise. Bianca’s project combined Bayesian inference, adstock, seasonality and Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling on three years of daily advertising data; in that model, removing TV ads dropped predicted sales by about 57% and removing radio ads by about 17%.
