Adstock

Definition

A way of measuring the effect an advertisement has on demand over time. It depends on two things: the decay of an advertisement’s impact as time passes, and saturation, because demand does not grow in a straight line with the amount of advertising. In Bianca’s marketing-mix modelling project the adstock was given a sigmoid transformation to account for saturation.
